Dashing Into the New Track Season

Indoor track is a thrilling sport that takes place inside instead of out. It provides athletes with the opportunity to continue their training and compete even during the colder months when outdoor track and field may not be an option. The first day of practice was November 27th and the turnout was better than the coaches were expecting! The coaches are Mr. Taylor, Mr. Spencer, and Mr. Morgan.

The indoor track events include a wide range of activities, including sprints, hurdles, and even shot put. Practices are in the hive at 3pm after school on Mondays and Wednesdays where they last from an hour to an hour and a half. Athletes get the chance to showcase their speed, agility, and technique while they strive for personal bests and competitive success.

Indoor track is a great way to stay active during the winter months. It offers athletes the chance to continue their training and hone their skills for the upcoming track and field season.

So, whether you’re a seasoned athlete looking to take your skills to the next level or someone who simply wants to try it out, indoor track is a fantastic sport that offers something for everyone. Lace up your sneakers, and get ready to hit the track!
