Baseballs Preparing to Swing Into Another State Winning Season
Juab’s baseball season is preparing for the start of their season for 2024. Coming off of last year’s state champion high, Coach Park and his team are trying to recreate this success for another successful season. He and his team have been putting in the hours with practices and workouts to continue to advance this winning program. However, the team lost many vital starting seniors from last year that helped them get to where they are now. The team has prepared in multiple different ways, to counteract this, and they are ready to defend their title this year.
Coach Josh Park and his team of coaches have worked relentlessly to get their baseball team ready. Some of the ways they’ve done this is hosting multiple open gyms to bring in newer players, along with practice for returning players from last season. These practices have allowed for new players to learn the game more, while allowing regular players to continue to advance and hone their skills in their respective positions under the eyes of the coaching staff. They have also held many morning workouts beside the football team to get both teams stronger to prepare for their seasons. These morning workouts have consisted of hand crafted workouts from the coaching staff, working on the players explosiveness and overall strength in all areas, which will allow them to play at their best abilities this year.
Sadly, baseball has not been able to practice outdoors on our amazing field here in Juab due to the unpredictable weather conditions recently, which can put them at a disadvantage compared to other teams that have been able to get comfortable with their own fields. This can also cause Juab issues with scheduling games, forcing some of them to be pushed back due to the snow and conditions on the fields. Besides these facts, we have confidence in our team and our ability to perform this season, and we all hope to see the baseball team bring back another state championship this season.
