Juab Wrestling and their season

This season for the Juab Wrestling team has been an adventure. Last year our team lost the seniors where the majority were part of our starting line up. To start the year off with a new team we had to work on situating weights to have the best line up we could for a new year with a new team. Mid year the team was starting to solidify. After a few losses against teams including Millard and Wasatch we started to get in the groove of things. Our line up now consists of the best varsity kids with a great second string line up as well. Now heading into the post season the team is allowed to bring the first and second string wrestlers to compete in divisionals for a chance to wrestle in state. The total count of athletes we brought to divisionals was 24. Out of those 24 kids competing we were able to have 22 qualify for state meaning we have 22 kids that’s are able to score points to hopefully win us another state title making 8 in a row. As a school we are excited to see how state unfolds February 16th and 17th. Our state qualifiers include: Decker Ford, Crew Cowan, Braxton Blackett, Drake Johnson, Ladd Holman, Rowdey Peterson, Hayden Adams, Cooper Blackett, Teagan Anderson, Jhett Shepard, Hayden Park, Porter Anderson, Garrett Perry, Preston Aagard, Gavin whiteley, Jimmy Case Larsen, Mason Ekins, Benedict Holthaus, Porter Wholforth, Oxley Yama, Staten Shepard, Ty Blackburn, and Aisea Hosea. To help support the wrestling team at state the team has asked fans to wear crimson colors on Friday and gold colors on Saturday. We wish goodluck to everyone on the team at the state tournament.
