FBLA Excelled at Their Region Competition!

JHS FBLA did an excellent job at their Region Competition!

Over the past several weeks, Juab FBLA has been trying to grow their chapter as much as possible. For recruitment, they have given gifts, snacks, seeked specific people, and more. With all their efforts, they’ve actually gotten a decent amount of members this year!

FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America.  If you are interested in Business, this is the perfect place. FBLA is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. But even if you aren’t planning to go into business, that doesn’t mean you can’t join! FBLA consists of competitive events that cover several aspects, that allow you to network with other kids your age and improve a countless number of skills at local, state, and even national levels.

After getting over a whopping 30 kids to join the region competition, Juab FBLA started preparing. This included weekly meetings and preparation sessions, discussing the competition through group chats and discussions, practicing presentations countless times, and much more.

The day of region, our school chapter left the school early in the morning to head over to the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. Starting off the day with a quick meeting to discuss the overall schedule, students from all schools soon started heading into their event booths. After the competition times were over, it was time for the award ceremony! After all their hard work and dedication, Juab FBLA was able to do amazing at their Region Competition! We had many people get first place, and everyone placed top 5 in at least one event!

On the ride back home, our school chapter couldn’t have been more excited about their accomplishments! Joining FBLA was a great choice and many members are glad they did! “We made so many new friends,” says Macee Ercanbrack, our FBLA school chapter social media coordinator. Our FBLA school chapter plans on bringing in many more new students through fun activities and social events and progressing to greater and bigger opportunities. If you’re interested in joining FBLA, you can talk to Mr. Olson, the chapter advisor and see what works best for you!
