Juab Girls Tennis Wins Region!

The extraordinary girls tennis team has had a perfect season, with 14 wins and zero losses, the only undefeated sport in the fall of 2023! On the 26th and 27th, the team went to region and placed 1st! This is the 2nd year in a row and 4th time overall since the program started in 2015. They hold the title for 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023.

 Andy Williams, Brett Lovell, and John Willmore are the dedicated and driven coaches who have admirably put everything into coaching this year. There is no doubt that the reason for the incredible amount of progress amongst the girls is due to the resilience and determination of these coaches. 

The girls positions and how they placed at region: 

1st singles: Emmy Lovell 1st, 2nd singles: Hannah Echols placed 2nd, 3rd singles: Leah thorn placed 1st, 1st doubles: Lily Fechner and Marietta Flake placed 2nd, 2nd doubles: Averee Hatfield and Emmy Fechner placed 2nd, 3rd doubles: Nataya day and Hannah Rock placed 1st. 

Now a shoutout to our strong, beautiful seniors who have contributed so much to this team and led by example how to be a kind teammate and leader, on and off the court are, Averee Hatfield, Hannah Rock, Emmy Lovell, Charly Hermansen, Leah Thorn, Hannah Echols, Emmy Fechner, Rylee Ludlow, Pressley Hair, and Sufia Khan. 

The Juab Girls Tennis Team deserves some serious recognition for their hard work and resilience, so if you get a chance, make sure to congratulate them on their accomplishments. 

Now they’re off to state on October 6th and 7th at Liberty Park in Salt Lake!
