20th Anniversary of 9/11

The time has come for us to draw our minds back to the past. Saturday, September 11th 2021, will be the 20th anniversary of the fateful incident of 9/11.

On 9/11 2001 a group of terrorists hijacked several planes from American Airlines. At around 8:40 one of the airplanes crashed into the north tower of New York City’s World Trade Center.

Many people thought the crash was an accident until a second plane flew into the south tower a few minutes after. The crashes created burning holes in both the buildings and people’s spirits all across America.

The North and South towers both fell that day causing massive damage and killing even more people. Over two thousand people died during the attack.

Former president George W. Bush said, “Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.”

This September 11th, we are all invited to take the time to look back and remember this tragic day in our history and all the lives that were lost. Americans everywhere may join in a day of remembrance. 9/11 will not be forgotten.
