Juab Wrestling Wins an 8th Title!

Juab wrestling ended the 23-24 season with another state championship. The beginning of the season started off rough. The team was being rebuilt and almost starting over. Trying to decide who would go where and at what wait. The teams first few duals were rough with losses or very close wins. Going into winter break the team started to grind and rebuild harder. Practices got more intense and the team was starting to look good again. Once January came around the team started to solidify. They had a great starting line up and a good second string.

Going into divisionals the team had two kids qualify for state in every weight except for three of them. Which is amazing! Heading into state the team was looking strong. With the last few weeks of practices being the end of the grind and fully preparing to wrestle at state. State came and we started off strong. With tons of kids making it to the placement rounds and scoring us more and more points. Ending the first day in the lead, South Summit was close behind. Going into the next day we started to take a solid lead. Heading into the finals the team had 7 finalists. Out of the 7 there were 6 state champions solidifying the teams state victory.

Even though the team started off rough at the beginning of the season, Coach Holman built the team back up to make it the 8th year in a row for Juab High School to take a state title home in wrestling.
