HOCO ’23 Recap: Student Adventures Never End

Homecoming week this year was amazing. there were a lot of hands involved and it definitetly couldn’t have been possible without all the students and teachers involved.

On monday we started off by having a granola themed school day and then having powderpuff in the evening. Powder puff was a hoot. We had the freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors involved. Each team played well but the junior took it all.

Tuesday was good as well. The theme was day on the slopes. The dress up was snow clothes or white out. After school there was a volleyball game where the girls played tough.

On wednesday we had an anything but a backpack day camping edition which worked out awesome. In the evening there was a pep rally that turned out really good and was a blast. After the pep rally we lit the J to carry on the tradition.

Thursday our theme was out on the lake. People came dressed up in their beachwear to prepare for the lake. After the school day there wasn’t anything to help kids recoup for the homecoming game and dance.

Friday was a blackout. At school and the game in the evening we had everyone dressed up in black. The football game was amazing and the pit was fantastic. To end off the week we had the dance. The overall theme was adventure’s first stop and so the dance was decked out. There was a photoshoot area and a lot of amazing outdoor decorations.

The homecoming week turned out amazing and was awesome for everyone. The student government couldn’t have done it with the administrators and teachers that played a huge part in helping it run smoothly
