Mt.Nebo FFA Rocking at the Central Utah Classic

Juab High School did well at their first competition of the school year. 

     This year the FFA Center Utah classic was again held by the Mt.Nebo FFA chapter at the Nephi City FairGrounds. This year the classic was held on Wednesday, September 21st. FFA members from across Utah came to compete in their selected competitions. 

       Ag Mechanics: Ag.Mechanics is one of the hardest of the FFA competitions. Juab student Parker Casper got 4th place. One of our teams placed 3rd.

      Agronomy: Next is the agronomy competition. Cajun Shepherd was 3rd highest individual. The Mt.Nebo team got 2nd place.

     Floriculture: Identify floriculture plants. Sophomore Abby Hunt placed as the 4th highest individual. Mt.Nebo’s team got 5th place.

     Food Science: Mt.Nebo excelled in foods. Kaydence Hughes 2nd place. Juab individuals also took 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. The team took 1st place.

    Horse: Students also did well in the Horse competition. Madison Stanley took 1st place. The team took 1st place as well. 

     Livestock: Evaluating different classes of livestock. Jenna Garrett took 5th highest individual. The team took 2nd place.

    Vet Science: Judged on their vet skills. Karissa Taylor was the 2nd highest individual. Mt.Nebo had the 2nd place team.

   Our FFA team’s are only warming up. Please wish them luck at their next contest on October 11th held at Snow College.
