Meet Mr. Tebbs

Let’s get to know our new Math teacher, Mr. Tyler Tebbs.  Mr. Tebbs comes to us by way of Cedar City.  He went to High School and College there.  He was a Math Major and Finance Minor and had several scholarships!  One of which was a scholarship to play the Tuba.

Smarts run in his family.  Not only did his dad work at Southern Utah University, but his grandpa was a Math Professor.

Mr. Tebbs thought about a career path in Actuarial Science, but his wife said she would prefer to have him around, so he became a teacher instead.  Mr. Tebbs just didn’t randomly choose to teach at Juab High School.  He put his smarts to work.  He put together an excel sheet to find the area he wanted to teach in.  The criteria, small town, close to a Walmart and an LDS temple, and cost of living vs teacher pay for the area.  Juab was the winner!  Now Mr. Tebbs, his wife, and golden retriever, Scout are all part of our community!

Mr. Tebbs enjoys playing sports.  In High School he played: football, basketball, wrestled, hurdled and ran the 4×4.  His family owns a cattle ranch between Panguitch and Panguitch Lake.  From that he has enjoyed riding horses, 4-wheeling, motorbikes, working with cattle, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors in general and enjoying nature.

We are so lucky to have Mr. Tebbs at our school!  Glad that excel sheet sent you our way!
