Football Takes Dubs in the Homecoming Game Versus North Sanpete

On September 22nd, the football team entered their second region game with a standing of 3-3. They lost their first region game the week before, 14-24, against Richfield(5-0) for the first time in over 10 years. Hopes have been all over this season with most people thinking the football team has no hope of contending for a state title this year.

The game started off with North Sanpete receiving the ball and going up 3-0 in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter we took control of the game and took the score to 14-3 us. In the second half, we didn’t let up and scored 21 more points while allowing North Sanpete to score 14. The final score was 35-17 Juab. This was a big win to solidify their standings.

They needed to win this game to go 1-1 in region. This year our region is one of the hardest with 3 out of the 5 teams being 6-1 or 7-0 respectively, with all of them being considered a team that contends for the state title. The next game is one of those teams, Canyon View, which most consider them underdogs. The game will take place at Canyon View. Our away record is 1-0 while Canyon View is 2-1. This is a win we need for our football team to show we can still contend for a state title.
