Winter Sports Athletes of the Year 2021-22
This year of sports we have had a tremendous amount of highs and lows. With the scores for each sport and how good we have done this year, we have been given 6 people from different sports to vote for player of the year that are from Juab. If you go to Mid Utah Radio, you can see all the different sports and their rankings.
The first person to show up is Justin Christensen for boys basketball offensive player. His overall record for 21-22 is 12.5 points, 5.3 reb, and 1.2 ast
Next is Avia Stowell for girls basketball offensive player. Her overall record was 10.9 points and 9 reb
If you keep going we have Lucy Richards for girls basketball defensive player. Record being 5.6 reb, 1 steal, and 1.9 blk
For boys wrestling, lower weights, we have Channing Warner. 144 lbs state champ and record of 40-1
For upper weights it is Will Harmon. 175 lbs state champ and record of 46-1
For the girls wrestling we have Grace Holman. 120 lbs state champ and record of 21-2
For the girls swimming it is also Grace Holman. 2nd place 200 yard and 2nd place 100 yard breaststroke
All these people have had a great year in each of their sports have have put in a lot of hard work and dedication. So if everyone can work together and help them earn their respected spots as players of the year.
