This Years Sports Recap – 2024-2025

This past year was a rollercoaster for sports, being  filled with unforgettable moments, tough losses, and a lot of heart. Here’s a look back at the blood, sweat, and cheers that defined our year.

Football: Our football team had a solid 7-3 season, battling their way into the 3A state quarterfinals. They ran into a tough Morgan squad there, falling 35-14, but they never quit. Those Friday nights under the lights gave us plenty to cheer for, and there’s a lot to be excited about for next season.

Girls Basketball: These girls played their hearts out, finishing 16-9 overall and snagging third in the region. They made it to the 3A quarterfinals, where they ran into a tough Canyon View team. However, the team still placed 5th overall at state. With a roster full of young talent, the future looks bright.

Boys Basketball: The boys went on a tear this season, wrapping up at 20-5 and making it to the 3A semifinals. They took down South Summit in the quarters, with Austin Park lighting it up for 24 points. They came up short in the semis, but this group set a high bar.

Volleyball: Our volleyball team finished 6-24, playing with heart all season. They bowed out in the first round of the state tournament, but their bond and determination are undeniable.

Baseball: Baseball season is still going, with the state championship on Friday! The boys will play Friday for a chance to win state. Right now the team is 25-5 and hoping to wrap up the season with a state ring!

Softball: The softball squad had a rough go this year, finishing 5-15, but they kept grinding through every inning. They’ve got the potential for a big bounce-back next year.

Boys Tennis: The tennis guys quietly put together a solid season, with a few standout players making deep runs in the 3A state tournament. They’re set up for even more success next year.

Boys Soccer: Our boys’ soccer team finished 9-6 and made it to the 3A state tournament. They might have had a first-round exit, but their improvement this season was clear.

Track & Field: This year, our track athletes broke records and pushed themselves to new heights. State for these athletes is Friday and Saturday at BYU, so make sure to come and support our track team!

Girls Golf: The girls golf team had a solid run this year, with a few players finishing in the top 10 at state. Their consistency all season long was impressive.

Wrestling: Our wrestling team just keeps dominating, winning their ninth straight 3A state title. With multiple individual champions, they’ve built a dynasty that shows no signs of slowing down.

Drill Team: The drill team brought precision and creativity to the floor, placing in the top five at the 3A state competition. They keep setting the bar higher every year.

Cheer: The cheer team continued their reign, winning their third straight 3A coed state championship. Their energy and spirit are contagious, and they’ve earned every bit of that spotlight.

Looking Ahead: From the first whistle of the season to the final buzzer, Juab athletes have given us a lot to be proud of. Here’s to even bigger moments next year.
