The End of an Era for Journalism
After many, many years of teaching journalism, Mrs. Settle finally decided to retire… kinda
Mrs. Settle is no longer teaching journalism and English 11, but she is now helping with the English Searling Scholar.
Next year, journalism will be 5A and will be taught by Mrs. Stoneman.
”I am excited for Mrs. Stoneman to take the Clarion over and see what she does, but I will miss you all tremendously. I’ve loved taking care of journalism. I’ve loved teaching English. I’m excited for this new adventure, but I will miss the best students in the world.” – Settle
And although we on the Clairon are sad to see her leave, we’re excited to have Mrs. Stoneman and all her new ideas. “I want to make our presence more known throughout the school. During and after school. We’re going to listen to a variety of voices on the podcast. I think it will be fun to take the podcast in a different direction. We’re going to recognize more students and clubs and learn more about our sponsors.” – Stoneman
Mrs. Stoneman had lots to say. We spent over half an hour talking about all the big journalism, but we ended up taking out some details so it’ll be a surprise next year.
Mrs. Stoneman is very excited to take over the journalism class and has big goals for it. This article is our last goodbye to Mrs. Settle.
