Performing A Final Song

Last Monday, the 5th of May, the choir also held their final concert of the year. They performed two new songs, the Super Smash Bros. theme and Deliver Us. Madrigals performed Somebody to Love and Fear Not This Night, with performances from those who got 1s at State Solo and Ensemble. As an entire choir, they performed Riversong with the Advance Jr. High Choir. The treble choir performed The Cup Song, Lost Boy, and Ask An Axolotl.

Both Madrigals and Concert Choir performed their festival pieces before taking a moment to thank Mrs. Rowley and Mrs. Speakman. Finally, all alumni were invited up on stage to sing Bridge Over Troubled Water altogether.

Following the success of their final concert on Saturday, May 10th, the Juab Choir finished the year with perfect scores at state. Although there is no official standing within the choir, Juab was the only 3A school with all perfect scores.

The team performed three songs, starting with Great Day by Philip Kern, followed by In Remembrance by Jerffery Ames with professional violinist Monty Bellnap, and they finished with Baba Yetu by Christopher Tin with soloists Brennan Webb and Reagan Millett.

Juab also sent Madrigals, who performed three songs: Music of Living by Dan Forrest, Northern Lights by Ola Gjello, and The Word Was God by Rosephanye Powell. They scored -1 on all of their songs, which was still noteworthy scoring.

After watching one last performance, the choir ended up at Olive Garden, where they stuffed themselves with celebratory breadsticks and pasta.

Due to the amazing scores, the choir was brought back into town with a police escort! Parents and siblings were able to line the streets and welcome the choir back. A truly amazing ending to the year.
