Juab Pairs up for MORP with iconic duos!
The “Dynamic Duos theme for Juab’s last dance on April 19, 2025, was such a great idea! It has so much potential for cool costumes and for celebrating iconic pairs. But I can see how it could be a little controversial too. Some people might have different takes on what is considered a “dynamic duo” or feel like it’s a tough theme to pull off. But overall, it definitely gets people thinking. I’m glad to report back and hear the dance went well! I interviewed three people, Price Armstrong, Peyton Pay, and Britlyn Duwel, to get their take on it.
Starting with Price, I’m curious to hear what he had to say about the theme and the overall event.
“MORP was great for me. I had such a fun time. Personally, I think my and Addie’s dynamic duo, Lilo and Stitch, might have been the greatest duo to ever exist!! We were able to go do some shopping, golfing, and a quick trip to the ER. MORP was great!!”—Price Armstrong
Next, Britlyn,
“Hi, I’m Brityln Duwel, and I took Jimmy Larson. We started by having breakfast in the morning before everything started. We went and got pictures after I and Jimmy were Moana and Mowi; after that, we went to beadology. Then we went to the butterfly museum, and all the boys loved it. I liked Morp because it was different than most dances because we dressed up as dynamic duos instead of something fancy!”
And last but not least, Peyton,
“MORP was a blast! I’m Peyton Pay, and I went with Konnor Brothensen. We were a firefighter and a Dalmatian! We started our morning at 11 and picked them up, then went to Canes and ate. After that we drove to a zombie escape room. It was super fun but scary. Thereafter, we went to the aquarium and ate at my friend’s house! We ended the night eating ice cream, getting in the hot tub, and painting portraits of each other! In all, I had a great time at MORP!”
I love hearing all these ideas, costumes, and dates! I think MORP was such a fun and creative dance; although the theme might have been controversial, in the end, it was a great dance. I am so glad to hear about everyone’s MORP experiences. And I even thought MORP was a super fun and interactive date! Even though a lot of people were hoping for a different theme at first, I think it ended up going really well. It got a lot of people out of their comfort zones, and that made it an even more fun experience!
