Juab High School gets a New Principal
His name is Mr. Qarnberg, but he goes by Mr. Q. He will be taking over the role of principal starting in the 2025–2026 school year. Juab students are excited about the shift in leadership, though some admit they’re feeling a bit nervous. There’s uncertainty about what changes might come, how things might be different, and how those changes could affect the activities and traditions they enjoy at school.
Will the new principal focus his time and energy on academics, or will his priorities lie with athletics? Will the drama department finally receive the attention it’s been needing, or will his focus be more on staff development?
In an introductory post we came across, it stated that Mr. Q has 30 years of experience in public education. He has also served as principal at several different schools and says his main passion is helping students discover their love for learning. Mr. Q has a background in teaching music and has even received an award for it. In addition, he’s a recipient of the Huntsman Education Award and was once named Principal of the Year.
He was raised on a family-owned cattle ranch, where he says he learned the value of hard work. In high school, he was involved in a wide range of sports and clubs, including track, wrestling, football, and FFA. After doing some research and talking to others, we’ve found that Mr. Q is widely seen as a respectful and good-natured leader—someone who just might do great things for Juab High School.
