Wasp Academy Teaches the Importance of Goal Setting
At Juab High School we believe goals are really important if you want to achieve something in life. Wasp Academy helps Juab students learn how to goals set by using this class to educate them, this class is like a study hall but its tracks each students goals and progress. This is because when you have a clear idea of what you want, it helps you stay focused and motivated. Without goals, it’s easy to feel lost or unsure of what direction to take.
First, think about setting what you really care about. Your goals should be something that matters to you and fits with what you want in the future. After that, break big goals down into smaller, more manageable steps. This makes it easier to stay on track and feel less overwhelmed. Goals also can help you manage and maintain your grades, maybe even improve them if that’s what you’re shooting for.
One method Wasp Academy teaches is the SMART method, which stands for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. This means your goals should be clear, realistic, and have a set deadline. It’s also important to keep track of how you’re doing and make adjustments if needed. During this class we have a paper that tracks what are goals are for that class period. First thing we do when we get in class is grab are paper and write what are Goal is for that class period and then at the end of class before you turn it in you write what you got done and you give your self a grading on how you did.
Remember, things don’t always go as planned. Sometimes obstacles come up, but it’s important to stay reliant and keep working towards your goal. Celebrate small wins along the way to keep yourself motivated. In the end, the more you stick with your goals, the more likely you are to succeed. So keep pushing forward and don’t give up.
