The Mighty Juab Wasps Take Down The Templars

The Juab Wasps basketball team had an exciting game against one of their biggest rivals, the Manti Templars. The Wasps fought their way to victory with a final score of 65 to 56. Austin Park was a standout player for the Wasps, scoring 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds, which helped lead the Wasps to victory over the Templars on their home court.

Before the game, the team asked the Juab High School students to come to Manti and cheer them on because of the rivalry between Juab and Manti. Fortunately for the Wasps, the pit came through, and much of the Juab student body showed up to support the boys team in their big game.

The loud and energetic student section made a big impact on the game. Gabe Settle, a junior on the team, said, “The student section being there for the team made a big difference. For me personally, it gave me motivation and made me more comfortable. With our students cheering me on, the away environment was less intimidating, and I felt like I could still win despite the noise.”

The team greatly appreciated the support from their fellow Juab students. Having a loud and excited crowd helped the players feel more confident and motivated. The energy from the student section helped the team push through the challenging away game environment.

The win against Manti was a great achievement for the Juab Wasps. The team’s hard work and the support from their school helped them come out on top. The boys have one more region game against Emery before restarting region play. Be sure to come to the pit and support the boys team by dressing as Jake from State Farm so they can be motivated to play their best.
