Christmas Break

Christmas is coming around the corner very soon. With Christmas coming, this means the end of the quarter is also coming to an end. This break is both exciting and scary for many students. Christmas break is starting on the 20th of December, but grades are finalizing this week and the start of next week. Make sure you are trying your best to represent our school by staying eligible.
This quarter went by really fast for everyone, but that means that we all need to be on top of our grades. Students should be checking with their teachers this week to make sure they are all caught up. If you want to make up anything in classes, many teachers are making this Friday the 13th the last day to do any makeup or late work for their classes.
If you have a bunch of attendance points on your PowerSchool and you would like to end with less or even no attendance points, then make sure you are staying after school to do community service, and this can deduct your points.
But the last two weeks of school aren’t all bad. Some fun things to look out for in the next week and a half are the elf on the shelf hidden around the school. If you find the elf and take a picture, you get a prize, so be on the lookout! Then there is a sub for Santa, there are drink bars every Wednesday, and more fun activities. Make sure to check the Juab Instagram page for more details about all the fun stuff happening before Christmas break. The school tries to be very involved with the kids and create a better community for all of us by putting on these activities, so make sure you come and share your Juab pride.
With the end of this semester coming to an end, that also means the sports will be on break for a while as well. The final few things going on for sports before break are a girls basketball game, a boys basketball game, and wrestling. As stated before, the break starts December 20th and goes till January 7th. Make sure to have a lot of fun while on break to study up for when you get back. Have a good break and a Merry Christmas from the JHS Clarion!
