Palette of Possibilities in Juab

An art club is a vibrant community that fosters creativity, self-expression, and skill development for artists of all levels. It provides a supportive environment where members can experiment with different art styles, collaborate on projects, and receive constructive feedback. Beyond just creating art, art clubs offer opportunities for learning through workshops and mentorship, and they often host exhibitions to showcase members’ work. They promote inclusivity and a place where anyone can find a new friend. Art clubs also engage with the local community through public art projects and charitable efforts while offering a space for personal growth, making them valuable places for both artistic and social development.

Our high school art club may not be very big, with only eight members, but they can do really big things. Art club isn’t just about doing art; it’s about teamwork and collaboration. For example, a few members went to the play on closing night and helped clean up after, making all the work go a lot quicker. Mrs. Henry—the art teacher—has said that as a club they plan on doing more service for the school. If any student has time, they are encouraged to come to art club and have fun and make friends.

”Art club is a great opportunity for students to get together, serve other people, and create.” Says Mrs. Henry when asked about how she feels about the art club. She is really passionate about all the club members and would love to add to that number. They meet every Friday after Wasp learning in Mrs. Henry’s room; you just have to show up and, most importantly, have fun! You do not have to be a great artist to join the art club, just come to exercise your creativity and make new friends!
