Juab High Homecoming: Juab High Danced Around the World

On Saturday, October 5th, students from Juab High plan to be attending the homecoming dance to end the fun homecoming week. The dance will be held at Painter Motors in Nephi from 8 to 11 pm. It costs $10 for singles and $20 for couples.

The student body officers are working super hard to get all the final details together to make sure everyone attending can have the best night. The theme of the dance is all around the world. Over the past week, students have been participating in dress-up days with colors from countries such as Greece, China, Mexico, and places all over the world to show the theme of around the world.

Over the past 2 months, boys from Juab High have been asking girls from Nephi and surrounding towns to the dance with super cute posters. Each boy had unique, clever ways of asking girls. Trevin Park, a junior basketball player, asked Kelsie Goodman. He got a U-Haul and said, “Will U-Haul my butt to prom?” This is just one of the cute ideas that people have had over the past few months.

If you don’t have someone to go with, you can still come with your friends and party all night. There are so many girls and guys that have come with friends and still had such a great time. If you haven’t gone to homecoming before, here are some things to know. If you have a date, you usually have a day date with the person you’re going with. Boys normally pay because it is a guy’s ask dance. Some fun ideas for day dates can be go karting, trampoline parks, rollerblading and much more. Usually, boys pick up their dates in the morning, have brunch and then head to the main part of their date. Be prepared to go and take pictures with your group, then head to dinner and then the dance! Some groups also have an after party where they may watch a movie.

We are so excited about this year’s homecoming. So many dedicated students and staff have put lots of time and effort into making sure it’s the perfect night. Go have fun and dance around the world!
