Juab County 4-H Development
Hands-on & Life Skill Experiences
Hands-on experiences are impacting our youth in multiple ways. Experiences where they learn by doing, grow from failure, express their ideas, team working skills, and finding positive outcomes. Adult mentors provide guidance, ask questions, share learnings and encourage the youth. Youth build life skills by leading hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture, which is helping our youth to grow in many factors.
After School Program
4-H After School is a grant funded program designed to help youth have fun and learn at the same time. Club activities will happen after school time. Club leaders instruct groups of youth through various curriculum over the school year. Programs are available at Red Cliffs Elementary School, Mona Elementary School, Nebo View Elementary School, Juab Innovation Center, and Eureka Elementary School.
Teen Council
The Teen Council is a group of youth across community clubs and projects in the county who come together to participate in planning and organizing service activities throughout Juab County. Everyone in the grades 7th-12th are welcome to join. While in Teen Council our youth will learn leadership skills, public speaking skills, and who are ambassadors of 4-H in all they do. To be a member of the Juab County Teen Council youth must come regularly to our monthly meetings and actively participate in events held throughout the 4-H year.
