Girl’s Basketball

Girls basketball will be looking a little different this year due to COVID restrictions but that doesn’t mean we won’t have a great season.

Val Clark, Maddie Eyre, Brynlee Allred, Cambree Olsen, Hallie Worwood, Taryn Anderson, Kaycee Flanders, Avia Stowell, McCall Crippen, Trista Martineau, Taylin Griffiths, Jordan Cowan, Taiglee Allred, Emmy Lovell, Ava Cuff, Lucy Richards, Addison Hyatt, Hannah Rock, Kiki Lowe, and Kinley Christensen make up the 2020 JHS girls basketball team.

We also welcome their new head coach, Brady Welburn and assistant coaches Logan Neilsen, Brett Lovell, and Charlotte Crippen.

McCall Crippen, a member of the basketball team, said, “I think this will be a really great season, and I am very excited to see how our new coaching staff does.”

Due to COVID restrictions each member of our team and the opposing team are allowed to bring two spectators so not just anyone can come to the games. They also won’t be allowed to shake hands, masks will be required during time outs and when off of the court, and the team will have to be tested for COVID every week.

Their first game was on December fourth. Sadly the team was missing five of their players and was playing up against Grantsville. They lost by 35 points. Even though it was a loss, it is still going to be a great season. Good luck Juab High School girl’s basketball!
