Juab Takes 3A Football State Title
Congratulations Juab Football!
JHS football had a very successful season, with only 3 losses among the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams combined.
The team was undefeated in 3A, taking the regional championship during the season. They entered as the #1 see and swept through the playoffs to the state championship game at Dixie State.
The State Title game was back and forth, but Juab ended with a close victory over Morgan, 17-14. The Wasps took home the first football state title in school history. Well done Juab football!
What does this mean to you?
Rio Wright: This means a lot to me and my family. My family absolutely loves football and has been supporting Juab Football for generations. I have been excited to play high school football and it has been a heck of a year. What makes it even more exciting is that we took state! It meant a lot to bond and play with the seniors for their final year of high school.
What do you think it means for the school and community?
Rio Wright: It is a very big deal knowing that this is our very first year taking state in the whole Juab football timeline. The school should be very excited because this is only the beginning of more state titles to come. For the community it should be a big deal because people get to watch their kids, grandkids, nephews, and brothers grow to become a better football player and take state, whether they be Seniors, Juniors, Sophmores, and Freshman.
