Our very own Juab golf team capped off a hard-fought year with a great showing at the 3A state tournament. Juab took 7th place with a total of 653 strokes. The team shot 314 strokes on the second day, which is really good, considering that they shot 319 in 2000 and won the state tournament. Individually, our top three finishers were Kauner Kay, who tied for 11th place with 154 strokes, Jalal Khan, who tied for 14th with 155 strokes, and Jimmy Rosenbeck, who took third with 169 strokes. It goes to show how tough the competition was when one extra stroke dropped Jalal 3 places!
The state tournament topped off a great year for our golf team, and next year is expected to be even better, as all of our golfers are expected to return. I think it is safe to say that we expect great things from Juab boy’s golf. Keep up the good work!
